Unique Poly-Organic Acid Formulation Offers Long-Life
Silicate-Free, Phosphate-Free, Nitrite-Free, Nitrate-Free, Borate-Free and Amine-Free
For Use in Heavy-Duty and Non-Heavy Duty Applications, Making it the Best Option for Mixed Fleets That Want to Use One Product
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol (EG) Antifreeze Engine Coolant’s (Product Code: ANTHD) unique poly-organic acid formulation provides durable, long-lasting protection of cooling system components. This blend of organic acids offers heavy-duty diesel truck owners a long-life antifreeze coolant without the use of supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) or extenders, providing a significant cost savings. AMSOIL Heavy-Duty EG Antifreeze Engine Coolant offers protection up to 6 years, 600,000 miles or 12,000 hours, whichever comes first, in heavy-duty applications. It is a 50/50 antifreeze coolant premixed with high-purity water and is ready to use.
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant is silicate-, phosphate-, nitrite-, nitrate-, borate- and amine-free. These inorganic salts, found in conventional and hybrid organic acid (HOAT) antifreeze/coolants, deplete over time, turning into scale deposits, and are responsible for almost all scaling issues in cooling systems. AMSOIL EG Antifreeze Engine Coolant virtually eliminates radiator scaling problems.
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant provides maximum protection in extreme temperatures and operating conditions, providing superior heat transfer and excellent protection against freezing and boilover. It offers excellent protection against corrosion, providing superior protection for aluminum, steel, cast iron, copper, brass and solder alloys. It is compatible with all ethylene and propylene antifreeze and coolant colors, as well as all plastics and elastomers (hoses, gaskets, etc.) found in cooling systems.
AMSOIL HD Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant may be used in heavy-duty and non-heavy-duty applications, gasoline or diesel, making it the best option for mixed fleets that want to use one product. In passenger cars, light-duty trucks, vans and RVs it offers a service life of 5 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Prevents Metallic Corrosion and Erosion
Independent tests reveal AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant greatly surpasses standards for metallic corrosion and erosion, achieving nearly perfect scores in ASTM corrosion and erosion test on cast aluminum cylinder heads, steel, copper, solder, brass and cast iron and aluminum water pumps.
ASTM D2570 Corrosion Test
Cast iron plates show no signs of corrosion following the ASTM D2570 corrosion test, giving AMSOIL Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant nearly perfect scores.
Silicate-, Phosphate-, Nitrite-, Nitrate-, Borate- and Amine-Free to Help Eliminate Radiator Scaling
AMSOIL HD Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant is a poly-organic acid formulation that does not contain inorganic salts (phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, silicate, borate, amine) found in conventional and hybrid organic acid (HOAT) antifreeze/coolants. These materials are responsible for almost all scaling issues in cooling systems, and they can also precipitate to form scale if the antifreeze/coolant inhibitor system is at the wrong pH or mixed with incompatible products. AMSOIL HD Antifreeze Engine Coolant virtually eliminates scaling problems.
Provides Protection to Cylinder Liners Without the Use of Nitrites
Heavy-duty coolants typically contained nitrite and nitrite/molybdate technology to protect against cavitation erosion and corrosion pitting. However, because of its advanced poly-organic acid formulation, AMSOIL HD Antifreeze Engine Coolant is able to effectively protect cylinder liners against cavitation and corrosion without the use of nitrites. Nitrites can cause aluminum corrosion, and they are being banned from coolants used by a growing number of manufacturers in both the heavy-duty and automotive markets. AMSOIL HD Antifreeze Engine Coolant is a top-performing technology that performs extremely well in ASTM D7583 (John Deere Cavitation Test) test.
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol Long-Life Antifreeze Engine Coolant lasts longer than conventional products. It does not contain inorganic salts that deplete over time and turn into scale deposits and its unique blend of organic acids provide durable and long-lasting protection of cooling system components. It eliminates the need for supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) and recharging cooling systems. AMSOIL HD Antifreeze Engine Coolant provides extended service life in all gasoline and diesel vehicles:
- Up to 6 years, 600,000 miles or 12,000 hours, whichever comes first, in heavy-duty applications
- Up to 5 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, in passenger cars, light-duty trucks, vans and RVs
Best Option for Mixed Fleets
Because AMSOIL HD Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant can also be used in non-heavy-duty applications, it is the best option for mixed fleets of both passenger-vehicle and heavy-duty applications, gasoline or diesel, that want to use one product.
Compatible With Other Ethylene and Propylene Fluids
AMSOIL HD Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze Engine Coolant is compatible with all ethylene and propylene glycol antifreeze and coolant colors, as well as all plastics and elastomers (hoses, gaskets, etc.) found in cooling systems.
Note: Mixing propylene and ethylene glycol formulations can make it difficult to predict freeze protection. If mixing for top-off is unavoidable, it is recommended to flush the cooling system at the next convenient opportunity.
AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Ethylene Glycol 50/50 Premix Antifreeze Engine Coolant (ANTHD) is recommended for applications requiring any of the following specifications:
